Love Songs on The Journey

Formerly a captain of Navy Ships and Associate Professor of Business; Joseph Guion is Chairperson of the Diocesan Pastoral Council in the Catholic Diocese of Richmond, Virginia. His journey includes fifty years of married love and his wife's passing. Mr. Guion facilitates retreats for parish leadership groups and is a recipient of the Papal Benemerenti Medal.

This book is dedicated to Madge, my darling wife of fifty years, who taught me more than anyone what love really is.

Her love was deepened, expanded by our four daughters Kathleen, Mary Jane, Paulette, and Teresa; and reinforced by our wonderful grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs Guion have been partners through the years in serving in many parish ministries. They are Master Catechists and graduates of the Diocesan Ministry Formation Program. The Guions started a Children’s Liturgy of the Word program in their parish and Mrs. Guion directed it for many years. She directed a contemporary  folk group for liturgy with the musical talents of two daughters.

Mr. and Mrs. Guion have four daughters who have strengthened their parents’ love and marriage. After Mrs. Guion passed away, these women continue the love relationship by taking turns in “mothering” Mr. Guion.
